There must hardly be anyone who must not have seen Chennai express. The ‘speed’ at which the film went on to make its own records after having broken many totally took many by storm. This Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer, which was directed by Rohit Shetty, went onto become one of Bollywood’s evergreen blockbusters!

Besides the presence of the two superstars in the form of Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, there was one more actor who took everyone by surprise with his acting prowess. He was none other than Niketan Dheer, who happens to be the son of the famous actor Pankaj Dheer (how can anyone forget his eternal role of Karna in the epic serial Mahabharat!).

The real shock comes now in the form of an honest confession by Niketan Dheer, who said that he had no work despite a successful Chennai Express! Yess… you heard it right. There were many (including him) who thought that his career will skyrocket after having delivered a mammoth hit in the form of Chennai Express. But sadly, that was just not the case with Niketan Dheer.

The hunky Niketan Dheer was in conversation with Sidharth Kannan in the latter’s podcast. When asked about Chennai Express, Niketan Dheer said (read ‘confessed’), that this was the first film of his career, for which he did not have to undergo a look test for. He added that this was one film which he thought will change his life and that everyone will start doing ‘Thangabali Thangabali’. (For the unversed, Thangabali was the name of the character that he had played in the film Chennai Express).

He then said that, even though it was tough to believe that, despite the film being released in August, he did not get even a single call (for any role) for a straight 8-9 months!
