'I finally know what it means...': Diana Penty shares first experience of working with Amitabh Bachchan in Section 84

Diana Penty on Thursday announced the wrap of her upcoming courtroom drama, Section 84 in which she stars alongside Amitabh Bachchan. The film marks her first collaboration with the megastar in Ribhu Dasgupta’s film. She took to her Instagram handle and expressed how she felt both excited and nervous to work with Amitabh. However, when she finally completed the shoot, she called it the most enriching experience of her career.

Sharing a photo with Mr.Bachchan, she wrote, “And it’s a WRAP. On what has been an incredibly special journey for me. Before we began shooting #Section84, I was beyond excited to be working with @amitabhbachchan for the first time, but also so damn nervous!! But now that we’ve been through a film together I can safely say, it has been one of the most enriching experiences of my career. As an actor, I finally know what it means to ‘BE’ in a scene. Mr. Bachchan allows you to do that, and gives you space to do so much more. Watching and observing him is like witnessing a masterclass.”

Her post also included pictures with her other co-stars Nimrat Kaur and Abhishek Banerjee from the film. About them, she added, “Also, finally got to hang out with @nimratofficial and @nowitsabhi on set. Here’s proof that we’re actually in the same film.” She concluded by expressing gratitude to the captain of the ship, Director Ribhu Dasgupta. “@ribhu_dasgupta, thank you for bringing this whole thing together so beautifully. But more importantly, thank you for making sure our stomachs were always full! Priorities, priorities,” she signed off.

While the film’s plot is kept under wraps, Section 84 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) is about an act if done by a person of an unsound mind, to not be considered an offense. Backed by Reliance Entertainment and Film Hangar, the makers have not yet announced the release date.
