A still from Tip Tip Barsa Paani
Every Bollywood buff is still crazy for the sensuous rainy dance number ‘Tip Tip Barsa Paani’ which was featured on Raveena Tandon and Akshay Kumar from the 1994 movie Kohra. However, while the song was all glamorous and seductive, Raveena rather had an unpleasant experience after shooting for the song. Recently, the actress recalled the events that took place after she filmed the song with her ex-beau Akshay.
When she appeared on the dance reality show India’s Best Dancer as a guest judge recently, Raveena Tandon spoke extensively on the shooting of ‘Tip Tip Barsa Paani’. For the unversed, one of the contestants also performed on the song. According to a report in Filmfare, the Andaz Apna Apna actress said, “I had to take tetanus injections, and two days later, I fell ill due to the exposure to rain. The glamour you see on screen conceals the untold stories behind the scenes. During rehearsals, injuries are commonplace, yet we all endure them. But the show must go on, whether on screen or stage; one's expressions and smile should never waver, regardless of the pain endured. These are the struggles that all artists and choreographers endure behind the scenes."
The movie Mohra also starred Naseeruddin Shah, Paresh Rawal, and Suniel Shetty in the lead roles. The song ‘Tip Tip Barsa Paani’ became a chartbuster hit song and is still considered one of the most iconic rain tracks from Bollywood. It was recently recreated in the 2021 movie Sooryavanshi with Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif. While the remake was also appreciated by the masses, many fans still prefer the OG version.
On the work front, Raveena Tandon will be reuniting with her ex-boyfriend Akshay Kumar after 20 years in Welcome To The Jungle. The movie is the third installment of the Welcome franchise. She also has the much-awaited KGF 3 in the pipeline.
