It was a big night for Kriti Sanon as she bagged the Filmfare trophy for Best Actress for the first time after eight years of her acting career. The actress received the award for her movie Mimi directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films. She expressed her gratitude in a heartfelt note alongside a picture of herself sleeping with the ‘Black lady(trophy).

At the prestigious award ceremony, the actress was asked if she were to bring a date on the red carpet from the industry, who would that person be? To which Kriti replied by saying that there are no single men in the industry, "I wish I had one, he would have been here. I don't know. Who is single right now? There are no single men," she quipped.
Meanwhile, Kriti previously won the Filmfare Award in 2015 in the Best Debut category for Heropanti. Her upcoming projects include horror comedy Bhediya opposite Varun Dhawan, Ganapath in which she reunites with Tiger Shroff, a period drama Adipurush co-starring Prabhas and Shehzada alongside Kartik Aaryan.
