Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal have entered their happily ever after. The couple tied the knot on June 23 after dating for more than five years. Sonakshi and Zaheer had an intimate ivory-coloured theme civil marriage which was attended by Sonakshi’s close friend Huma Qureshi and her brother Saqib Saleem. Now, Huma has penned a note for her newlywed best friend saying that she ‘feels blessed to have witnessed this beautiful, mad and passionate love story.’

Taking to Instagram, Huma shared a picture of Sonakshi and Zaheer from the registration ceremony and captioned it, “Two most different personalities … two unique souls …. But … together you fit perfectly. I’m so blessed to have witnessed this beautiful mad passionate love story .. my friends are now husband and wife @aslisona @iamzahero.”  For the ceremony, Sonakshi upcycled her mother’s 40-year-old white chikankari saree and paired it with a pearl choker and matching bangles. The groom coordinated with his bride and wore a floral embroidered white chikankari kurta.

Netizens too congratulated the happy couple on their new journey. In the comments section of Huma’s post, one user wrote, “Beautiful couple. God bless them,” while another said, “Congratulations to both of them.”

Sonakshi opted for an ivory-coloured saree for the civil marriage but changed into a vibrant Raw Mango red saree for the celebrations in the evening. After the registration, Sonakshi hosted a grand wedding celebration in Mumbai for guests including Raveena Tandon, Richa Chadha, Salman Khan, Rekha, and Sharmin Segal, among others.

The news around Sonakshi’s wedding has been grabbing attention ever since the couple’s adorable audio invite was leaked online.

Sonakshi and Zaheer tied the knot on June 23 after dating for several years. They shared screen space in the comedy film Double XL that also starred Huma Qureshi.

Bollywood actress Kajol had recently shared a video from the grand celebration featuring herself, along with Sonakshi and Zaheer where the trio danced their hearts out.
