Hugh Jackman spotted sans wedding ring a day after announcing split from wife Deborra Lee-Furness

Hugh Jackman was spotted riding a Citi bike outside of his Tribeca residence on Saturday (September 16) a day after announcing his separation from his wife Deborra Lee-Furness. The former couple shared a brief statement and requested some privacy as they go through this tough time. Hugh and Deborra were married for 27 years.

Talking about the same, Hugh Jackman was seen wearing a light grey tee and black pants along with a helmet. He furthermore opted for sunglasses along with the same. The pictures visibly show his wedding ring missing from his finger. Take a look at the pictures that were shared by Page Six.

The Wolverine actor and his estranged wife had given their statement to People about them no longer being a couple. The statement read, “We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting, and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.”

It further said, “We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as we grieve an outstanding loss to our family.” A source close to the former couple also revealed to the publication that those close to the duo are not surprised by the news of their divorce. The source furthermore added that Hugh and Deborra were separated a while ago.

Deborra Lee-Furness and Hugh Jackman are parents to a son Oscar (23) and a daughter Ava (18). The ex-couple also added in their statement that their family “has been and always will be [their] highest priority.” The two sparked rumors of their separation when Furness skipped Hugh’s Broadway show The Music Man’s rehearsal. Some sources further said that she was also seen sleeping during some of the rehearsals that she attended.
