Hrithik Roshan's girlfriend Saba Azad bags THIS exciting project, to play a Kashmiri singer

Actress-singer Saba Azad is often grabbing many eyeballs due to her whirlwind romance with Hrithik Roshan at the personal forefront. But it seems that the actress also has had a major positive development in the professional sphere. According to the latest news report in Etimes, Saba has been roped in to play the titular role in director Danish Renzu ’s next titled Songs Of Paradise .

The shooting of the same is currently in full swing in Kashmir. The report further added that Saba Azad will be essaying the role of an aspiring singer from Kashmir and that the movie is inspired by the works of the legendary Kashmiri singer Raj Begum. Saba revealed to the publication on being selected to play the lead in Songs Of Paradise.

The Rocket Boys actress said, “My first reaction after reading the script was, this story must be told. I am a musician and even I didn’t know about Raj Begum’s legacy. What an absolute trailblazer! I'm so thankful that Danish thought me worthy of bringing this role to life.”

Apart from Saba Azad, director Danish Renzu also spoke about Songs Of Paradise. He said, “The film tells a poignant tale of a Kashmiri woman who aspires to become a singer. It is inspired by the songs and music of legendary singer Raj Begum.’’ The filmmaker also said that the movie is like an ode to the people of Kashmir.

Renzu went on to say, “I’m super thrilled to work on a story from Kashmir that presents the music, culture, and history of the region like never before. The film is about the artists of Kashmir and their journey of triumph irrespective of the circumstances." The director also revealed that he roped in Saba Azad for the lead role since the actress is also a musician herself and happens to be hailing from Kashmir.
