Hrithik Roshan pushed Vikram Vedha schedule specially for Rohit Saraf, did THIS to get latter’s dates
Rohit Saraf’s dates for Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan’s film Vikram Vedha overlapped with the schedule of Mismatched 2. Here’s how the Greek God of Bollywood made it all work out with just one phone call.
The talented Rohit Saraf has been on a spree winning our hearts ever since he set foot in the Hindi film industry. He began his filmy journey with Alia Bhatt and Shah Rukh Khan starrer Dear Zindagi in 2016 and has come a long way. This year, he left us in awe of his versatile performances with two back to back releases-- he returned to our screens as Rishi in the second and much anticipated season of Mismatched and also played the role of Hrithik Roshan ’s brother in Vikram Vedha , helmed by Pushkar–Gayathri.
But did you know that Hrithik was the one who thought Rohit would be the right fit for his on-screen brother Shatak’s character in the film? That’s right. In a recent chat with Puja Talwar, Rohit revealed that much to his dismay the shooting dates for Vikram Vedha and Mismatched 2 were the same. But the Greek God of Bollywood made it all work out with just one phone call. Rohit shared, “Hrithik sir called my Mismatch director Akarsh Khurana, and he said ‘I need him (Rohit Saraf) to come and do this part because I believe he is perfect for it’.”
Akarsh managed a few days, but it was not enough time and Hrithik understood that the team could not cancel the complete schedule of the web series. Rohit revealed, “So, the entire schedule of Vikram Vedha got pushed by 5 days. They waited for me to come and be a part of it. When I heard Hrithik sir himself called my director to get my dates, that day I was like ‘even if this film doesn’t work out I’m ok with it because I know what this means to me. How big of a deal this is.”
Well, we are sure fans are grateful to Hrithik because watching Rohit shine on-screen as Shatak was a treat! Up next, the young heartthrob has Ishq Vishk Rebound in his kitty, which also stars Hrithik’s cousin sister and debutant Pashmina Roshan, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham star Jibraan Khan and Naila Grewal. The rom com is a sequel to Shahid Kapoor’s debut film Ishq Vishk. We wish Rohit all the best!
