Akshay Kumar is one of Bollywood’s most bankable stars and also one of the industry’s most disciplined ones. The actor who appears in four to five films a year is known to efficiently wrap up projects in approximately three months while many of his competitors spends several months or even years working on their films.

Well, the actor’s efficiency does come at a handsome price and it has once again made him one of the top tax payers among actors in the country in 2022. Akshay was recognised with the ‘samman patra’ by the income tax department for the feat recently and his team received the award on his behalf. Akshay is currently shooting for his in the U.K. with Tinu Desai and couldn’t personally receive the certificate.

He has been quickly raising in the ranks as one of the highest paid stars in the world and is the only Indian actor to have made it to the Forbes list in the last two years. In 2017, when Akshay ranked at number ten in the Forbes list of highest paid stars, he is known to have paid Rs. 29.5 crores in taxes.

Of course, his income has increased many folds since and so would the taxes he pays to the government. In the same period Amitabh Bachchan , Salman Khan had topped the list paying Rs. 70 crores and Rs. 44 crores in taxes.
