Honey Singh receives death threats from Canadian gangster Goldy Brar, files police complaint
The singer reached the Delhi Police Headquarters himself to meet the commissioner and filed the complaint.
Singer and rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh on Wednesday filed a police complaint demanding security after he received death threats. According to the singer, gangster Goldy Brar has sent him threats through phone calls and voice notes. Brar is the main accused in the death of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala.
While talking to the media, Honey revealed that it is the first time he has been in fear for his life. "I gave police all the evidence. This is the first time such a thing has happened to me... people have always given me love. I am scared, my family is also scared. In this world, only one thing I fear is death. Got few phone calls and voice notes from them (Goldy Brar gang) from international numbers. I haven't hidden anything from you all, will give more details soon." he said.
The singer reached the Delhi Police Headquarters himself to meet the commissioner and filed the complaint. "I and my staff received phone calls by people who claimed they are members of Goldy Brar. I have requested Commissioner Saab to provide me security and investigate the matter. I am really shattered. Commissioner saab has told me not to disclose the details as the matter is being investigated," he added. For the unversed, the Canadian gangster Goldy Brar aka Satwinderjit Singh is currently on the run. The Canadian government has named him among the country’s top 25 wanted criminals.
Meanwhile, Honey recently made a comeback to the entertainment industry after a long break. He recently appeared in Akshay Kumar's starrer Selfie song-Kudi Chamkeeli. He also featured in Salman Khan’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan in the song Let’s Dance Chotu Motu. On the personal front, Honey recently parted ways with girlfriend Tina Thadani. He divorced his wife Shalini Talwar last year.
