    Whenever there is a mention of path breaking singers, Honey Singh will surely find his place in the list. Even though today, he may not be in the prime of his career, as he was a few years ago, but one just cannot take away from him the fact that he was one of the musicians who changed the face of Indian music.

    The last few years have been extremely challenging for the singer who has, to his credit, of having sung evergreen tracks like Brown Eyes etc… There were many accusations about him checking into a rehab centre and also neglecting his former wife Shalini Talwar and family during the early stages of his addiction.

    In a recent interview with The Lallantop, Yo Yo Honey Singh aka Hirdesh Singh had denied the rumours that he had gone to a rehab centre. He even termed that as the ‘most absurd claims’. In the same breath, he added (read ‘confessed’) that he had neglected his family when 'daulat, shohrat, nashe aur aurat' (money, fame, addiction and women) had got to his head.

    When questioned about his former wife Shalini's reaction to his drug abuse, the rapper cum singer said that their relationship wasn't very good at that time and that there was a distance between them because he was travelling a lot. He added that, even though for the initial 9–10 months of their marriage, things were good, success and fame got to his head thereafter.

    He also added that, when that (success and fame got to his head) happened, he neglected his family and had completely lost himself in money, fame, addiction, and women. He also made a strong statement that he did terrible things and that he had almost left Shalini and forgot about his family.

    When asked to name the people who had introduced him to drugs, Honey replied that there were a few very big and influential names who had teased him that he was so badly addicted to the substances that he was always high. He even stated that, most of the time, he was unaware of himself and his surroundings. He also revealed that the entire path to recovery took him seven long years.

    On the professional front, while Honey Singh is busy with the promotions of his latest album 'Glory, one can reportedly expect a about Honey Singh's life. The said series will be reportedly released on Netflix.
