After making waves with Kantara, Hombale Films is set to captivate audiences once again with extraordinary storytelling and cinematic experience in Kantara: A Legend Chapter 1. The makers on Monday dropped the much-awaited first look and teaser featuring Rishab Shetty in a never-seen-before avatar. The short clip teased the birth of a legend with a familiar roar that echoed in the first instalment, creating an atmosphere filled with suspense and intrigue. However, Rishab’s intense look is what has taken the internet by storm.
The first look shows Rishab standing in the middle of a circle as he looks towards a light. The narrator can be heard saying, “Light. Everyone can see everything in light. But this is not light, this is vision. Vision of what has happened, what is happening and what is going to happen, the light that shows everything. Can you see it?” The video then shows a person soaked in blood and sporting long, curly hair and a beard. He holds a Trishul in hand and looks up to show his face and fiery eyes. The story appears to go back to the reign of the Kadamba Dynasty, the ancient, royal family of Karnataka.
Sharing the teaser, the production house tweeted, “Step into the land of the divine. Presenting #KantaraChapter1 First Look & #Kantara1Teaser in 7 languages.” After the teaser dropped, actor Prithviraj Sukumaran reacted, “So looking forward to this one Rishab!” On the other hand, netizens went gaga over the intense and divine experience in the short clip. A user reacted, “Confirmed.....This movie will recognise Indian cinema on the global stage.” The second user wrote, “It's Not Teaser It's Pure Emotion And Goosebumps.” “ Blockbuster loading”, “History in the making” and “terrific” were some of the other comments on the teaser. Meanwhile, Kantara gained popularity globally last year with its folklore-based storytelling that explored the intricate connection between humanity and nature.
