    Television actress Hina Khan sent the country into shockwaves after she revealed that she had been diagnosed with stage three breast cancer. Giving an update about her health in a social media post, Hina wrote that she is ready to fight this battle and requested privacy and respect from her fans and followers. In her recent Instagram post, Hina talked about how she attended an award night before her chemotherapy session to reassure herself that she is living up to the benchmark that she has set for herself.

    Taking to Instagram, Hina shared a video of herself attending an award ceremony. In the caption, Hina revealed that she attended that award night, before her chemotherapy session to mark one of the most challenging phases of her life.

    Hina even received an award that night and shared some pictures with it. The video concludes with Hina going to the hospital to get her chemotherapy session done.

    In the caption, she wrote, “This award night, I knew about my cancer diagnosis, but I made a conscious choice to normalise it - not just for myself, but for all of us. This was the day that changed everything, it marked the beginning of one of the most challenging phases of my life.”

    Adding some affirmation in her and others lives, Hina added, “We become what we believe in and I have decided to take this challenge as an opportunity to reinvent myself, again. I have decided to keep the spirit of positivity as the first tool in my toolkit. I choose to Normalise this experience for me and I have consciously decided to manifest the outcome I desire. For me ..my work commitments matter. For me my motivation, passion and art matters. I refuse to bow down. This award that I received right before my first chemo was not my motivation alone, infact I attended this event to reassure my self that I am living up to the benchmark, I have set up for myself.”

    Hina concluded the caption by writing that we need to normalise challenges in our life. She said she attended the event and went straight to the hospital for her first chemo. Urging everyone to first normalise the challenges of life, she said, “...Then set goals for yourself and try to live up to them all along the way. No matter how hard. Never back down. Never give up.”

    Hina Khan made her acting debut with the television show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. She later featured in Bigg Boss and Kasautii Zindagii Kay.
