Even though she started off her career as a ‘student’ in the Karan Johar film Student Of The Year 2, the svelte Ananya Panday went onto become one of the names to reckon with in Bollywood in such a short span of time. One look at the repertoire of work, one will find that she is definitely headed towards becoming the numero uno in the entertainment arena. Of late, this young lady has been in the news, thanks to her brilliantly outstanding performance in the much-appreciated series Call Me Bae.

The latest update about Ananya Panday is that she had recently participated in the India Today Mind Rocks Youth Summit 2024, which had taken place in Bengaluru. Addressing the audience which consisted of many dignitaries, Ananya said that it was very important for every industry to have a committee like the Hema Committee where women come together and start something like that.

She added that it was very clear that no one else was doing it but women and that she felt that there had definitely been some change. She also added that, what one could see was that, people were at least talking about the problem. In the same breath, she added that there was still a long, long way to go as there were still much bigger battles to fight.

In addition to that, Ananya impressed the audiences by stating some really shocking facts. She said that, in the contracts which are being made these days, today, there are certain helpline numbers and also certain clauses which ensures the safety of women. This, she thought, was very important.

She also went on to add that, even the call sheets have the helpline numbers, wherein one can call to complain to the concerned authorities… even if one wanted to complain anonymously. She also added that she feels that this issue existed only in the film industry and that’s why, she said it was important that one address this as quickly as possible.

The strong woman that she is, Ananya also made it a point to mention that it was important that one should at least stand for something. She also gave one ‘mantra’ of sorts, wherein she said that one need not talk about everything but, at the same time, one could choose something that person felt strongly about.

Ananya Panday also added that, just because women's safety was very important to her, she always spoke about it and that it was also important to do it right. She summed it all up by saying that ‘actions always spoke louder than words’! We totally agree with you Ananya!

On the professional front, Ananya Panday will now be seen with Akshay Kumar in a biopic that has been titled Shankara.
