Hema Committee row: Mohanlal RESIGNS as AMMA president, shocks netizens

In a shocking turn of events, Malayalam superstar Mohanlal has officially resigned from his position as the president of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA). According to reports, the actor submitted his resignation following a recent string of allegations against other members of the AMMA committee. 

The latest reports indicate that all members of the executive committee have resigned from their respective positions. The official statement released by the committee revealed that the decision to dissolve the committee came after a series of sexual misconduct allegations against several members. A report stated that the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists jointly decided to dissolve the committee on moral grounds. “AMMA has decided to disperse the executive committee on moral grounds in light of allegations made by some actors against some committee members. A new committee will be formed after an election within two months,” the statement read.

The statement also clarified that a new committee will be formed after an election is held in the next two months. It asserted that the newly elected committee would hopefully be able to strengthen the organization and bring about necessary changes. 

Mohanlal in his official statement, thanked everyone for their support and criticism. "Let there be a new leadership for AMMA. Thanks to everyone for the support and criticisms," the actor said.
