When Shehnaaz Gill entered the Bigg Boss 13 house, she won us over with her bubbly nature and charm. But it was after Salman Khan’s reality show that her popularity really began to soar. She emerged as a social media sensation and went on to make a name for herself in the film industry. After making her Bollywood debut with Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, Shehnaaz is now busy gearing up for the release of her second Hindi film. Titled Thank You for Coming, the upcoming chick flick stars Shehnaaz in a never seen before avatar as actress Bhumi Pednekar’s on-screen BFF Rushi Kalra.
In the first track Haanji, Shehnaaz left us in awe of her sultry dance moves and killer expressions as she taught Bhumi how to live freely. Well, after setting the internet on fire with the fun party track yesterday, the actresses set out to promote their film in the most fun way possible. They went club hopping and painted the town red along with their co-stars Kusha Kapila, Shibani Bedi and Dolly Singh. Dressed in a smoking hot black dress with a halter peek-a-boo neckline, Shehnaaz popped open the champagne and sprayed it on the crowd in a fun video which has now gone viral on social media.
This short clip has left netizens with mixed feelings. Some are lauding Shehnaaz, proud of her achievements. For instance, in the comment section below, a fan wrote: “Shehnaaz as always you are gorgeous 🔥 Everything you achieve with your hard-work is special for us. We love you, nation loves you ❤️.” However, many felt she was out of place. Some even trolled Shehnaaz for her complete makeover for the film. One comment read: “Fame milte hi kapde kam wah”, whereas another social media user wrote: “Hawa leg gi hai shehnaaz ko Bollywood ki.” Another netizen pointed out: “Shehnaz looks so uncomfortable and so out of place. All these things clearly doesn't come naturally to her. Trying hard to fit in. So unpleasant to watch her for something she's not.”
Well, watching Shehnaaz have fun is delightful. We are now eagerly waiting to see her shine on the silver screen alongside Bhumi in Thank You For Coming on 6th October.
