As Rani Chatterjee turned a year older, several Bhojpuri stars took to their respective social media handles to send warm birthday wishes to the actress. From Aamrapali Dubey , Dinesh Lal Yadav aka Nirahua , to Pawan Singh , wishes poured in for Sasura Bada Paisawala actress from across the Bhojpuri cinema. Rani Chatterjee is one of the popular actresses in Bhojpuri cinema. She made her film debut in the 2003 Bhojpuri family drama Sasura Bada Paisawala alongside Bhojpuri superstar Manoj Tiwari. Since then the actress has completed a decade in the Bhojpuri cinema with several hits in her filmography including Sita, Devra Bada Satawela, and Rani No. 786 among others. Though she has predominantly worked in Bhojpuri cinema, she has also appeared in numerous Hindi reality shows like Comedy Nights with Kapil, Khatron Ke Khiladi 10, and many more. She also appeared in the Dangal TV show The Courtroom. She also worked in the 2020 webseries Mastram.

She also received accolades for her titular role in Munnibai Nautanki Wali (2009). She won her first Best Actress Award for Devra Bada Satawela (2010).In 2013, the sixth Bhojpuri Awards declared Rani as the Best Actress of the year for her performance in Nagin.
