Gulshan Devaiah reveals how Ulajh gave him the opportunity to date his ex-wife

Starring Janhvi Kapoor, Gulshan Devaiah, Roshan Mathew and Meiyang Chang, Ulajh is set to be released on August 2. Busy promoting the release of the upcoming film, the star cast was asked what the film has given them and Gulshan replied that Ulajh gave him the opportunity to reconnect with his ex-wife.

During an interview with The Brut, the interviewer asked Gulshan and actor Roshan Mathew about what the film has given to them. Replying to this, Gulshan said that he got divorced in 2020 while he was shooting for Dahaad. He said they tried but it didn’t work out. But they remained friends and decided to date again.

Gulshan revealed that he had gone on another date with a woman who asked him to date his ex-wife because he was clearly in love with her. He said that he responded to her by saying it was a ‘good idea, thank you very much’ and expressed his gratitude towards the lady.

For those unaware, Gulshan was married to Kallirroi Tziafeta in 2012 and parted ways in 2020 only to reconnect during the shooting of Ulajh in 2023.

During the interview, he further said that he started dating his ex-wife during the schedule of Ulajh because she lived in London as she went to a theatre school there and she always talked about things to do there which they never did. The actor said that they both wanted to date so they started a new journey from London. He said the experience was personal and it gave him the opportunity to get back with her. He added that he will always remember Ulajh for giving him the opportunity to go to London and date his ex-wife.

On the other hand, Roshan said that this is the youngest team he has worked with in a while, and he enjoyed that energy.

Helmed by Sudhanshu Saria, Ulajh starring Janhvi Kapoor, Gulshan Devaiah, and Roshan Mathew will release on August 2. The film’s trailer was released recently, showcasing Janhvi essaying the role of a diplomat in this thriller drama.
