There is hardly anyone who must not have seen the film Ghajini, either in Hindi (starring Aamir Khan) or in the Tamil version (which happens to be the original and had starred Suriya). Both the films, when they were released, went onto become all time blockbusters. In fact, the Aamir Khan and Asin starrer Ghajini also became the first Hindi film to touch the magical Rs. 100 crore mark!

For all those who were eagerly waiting to see Aamir Khan back in action in the film’s sequel, here is not just one good news, but two times the good news. As per a source-based news report in Pinkvilla, it has been said that the film’s makers will be having Aamir Khan and Suriya to shoot Ghajini 2 simultaneously!

The article further added that, in a conversation with the said publication, Suriya said that the talks of (Ghajini 2) have already started and that the things were in process. It added that both Allu Aravind and Madhu Mantena had come up with the solution of “shooting for the two Ghajini films on the same time frame and bringing them to the big screen on the same day”.

For the ‘still-unversed’, the film Ghajini, was originally made in Tamil and had starred Suriya in the titular role. The film was written and directed by A. R. Murugadoss. Besides Suriya, the film also starred Asin, Nayanthara and Pradeep Rawat. The film went on to become one of the all-time blockbusters of south cinema.

Buoyed by the success of the film, filmmaker A R Murugadoss went on to make Ghajini in Hindi. This film starred Aamir Khan, Asin, (the late) Jiah Khan and Pradeep Rawat in all important roles. After having been released on 25 December 2008, the film went on to make more than Rs. 100 crores at the box office.
