The trailer for Vishwak Sen’s upcoming rural drama, Gangs of Godavari, has finally been released! Directed by Krishna Chaitanya, the new trailer starring Vishwak Sen, Neha Sshetty, and Anjali showcases the raw and rustic world of Gangs of Godavari, with Vishwak Sen acing the role as Rathna with his bold avatar.
The trailer begins with a voiceover stating that there are three kinds of men that exist and then introduces the protagonist Rathna, a powerful and loud young man who aspires to be a politician. Anjali appears to be playing his confidant in the film, while Neha Sshetty essays the role of Rathna’s love interest. In the middle of the story, things take a turn with Rathna forced to attack those who were once his allies. Finishing the first statement about three kinds of people, the trailer ends with Rathna saying that in contrast, the world is rather divided into men, women, and politicians.
After playing an intense role in his last outing, Gaami, Vishwak Sen dons a new look as a rural leader with slight shades of comedy and entertainment. Overall, the film promises to be an out-and-out action entertainer.
Plot of Gangs of Godavari
Written and directed by Krishna Chaitanya, the upcoming film is set in the 80s, with Vishwak Sen essaying the role of Lankala Rathna. The film will follow the journey of a common Godavari youngster who goes on to fight some powerful people in that area. This rags-to-riches story is set to showcase the gripping narrative of thugs and politics in the 1980s, set in the Eluru and Godavari coastal regions.

Gangs of Godavari is jointly produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas. The film stars Neha Sshetty as Vishwak’s love interest, besides featuring actors like Anjali, Nasser, and Goparaju Ramana in key roles. Yuvan Shankar Raja is the music composer of the film, while Navin Nooli is the editor.
