Ganapath vs Yaariyan 2 box office day 1 prediction: Tiger Shroff-Kriti Sanon starrer likely to race ahead of Divya Khosla's film

Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon starrer Ganapath is set to release tomorrow.(October 20, 2023). Ahead of the release, the film has already created a lot of buzz among audiences with several promotional events. The film will witness a box office clash with Divya Khosla Kumar’s Yaariyan 2. It will be intriguing to see if the actioner can compete with coming-of-age romantic drama at the ticket window.  

As per industry tracker Sacnilk, Ganapath will have an average opening weekend at the box office. The first day advance booking reports suggest a slow start. The total number of tickets sold on the first day is 20,196. The average price of a ticket is Rs.194. The total number of bookings in India is 3,221,216 lakh so far. According to trade experts, it is likely to earn between 3 and 3.5 crores on the opening day. If word of mouth turns out to be positive, it may be worth Rs. 4 crores collection.

On the other hand, the advance booking of Yaariyan 2, suggests the film will fail at the box office on the first day itself. According to media estimates, barely 800 tickets for the film have been sold thus far implying that the film will only make Rs 2 to 3 crores on its opening day. The film's lifetime earnings will also be limited to 13-14 crores as per reports.

Ganapath is an action film written and directed by Vikas Bahl, who also produced the film with Jackky Bhagnani, Vashu Bhagnani, and Deepshikha Deshmukh. The plot revolves around Ganapath, a ruthless and competent vigilante, who starts on a journey to eliminate a strong criminal empire that has held the city in fear in a dystopian future. Megastar Amitabh Bachchan will also be making a special appearance in the film.

While Yaariyan 2 depicts a trio of cousins enjoying the warmth of a new city; they also face hardships that will change their lives.Directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, the film is produced by T-Series Films and Sapru Films Production.
