'Flop films ke bhi sequel?' : Varun Dhawan's Bhediya 2 announcement gets trolled brutally by the netizens

Varun Dhawan graced the recently held Jio Cinemas event which took place last night (April 13). However, the fans were in for a surprise after the actor announced his movie Bhediya 2 during the same. For the unversed, the movie marks the sequel of Varun’s horror-comedy film which was released in November last year. But while some fans of the actor were left happy, other netizens brutally started trolling Varun as well as the makers of the movie.

Talking about the same, a video has now been going viral wherein Varun Dhawan can be seen announcing Bhediya 2 by lip-syncing to one of the rap songs from the movie. He also makes the howling sound of the wolf amidst cheer from the audience. We see the name of the movie flash across the screen. Take a look at the video which was shared by Bollywood Hungama on their social media handle.

But soon the netizens started trolling the decision to bring a sequel to Bhediya. They pointed out that neither the movie did a solid business at the box office nor has it been released on any OTT platform yet. Many users furthermore mocked that they are yet to watch the first part of the film.

One of the netizens stated, “Flop films ke bhi sequel banne Lage ab?” while another user said, “Yaha abhi tak pehli nahi dekhi.” Another netizen said, “Sorry not interested.” A user went on to call Varun Dhawan, “Overconfidence and overacting ki dukan.” Another netizen added, “Sequel that nobody wanted” while a user said, “First part to hit hua nahi.” A user furthermore stated, “Flop movie ka sequel banana legal hai kya?” while another netizen said, “Sequel to a flop movie ?? How does it make sense?”

Talking about Bhediya 2, the movie reportedly collected Rs 66.65 crore at the box office and was declared a box office flop. It also starred Kriti Sanon and Abhishek Banerjee in the lead role. The movie was about Varun playing a man who transforms into a wolf after getting bitten by one.
