Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor's rom-com gets a title; shoot details REVEALED

It was recently reported that Pakistani actor Fawad Khan is all set to make his Bollywood comeback alongside actress Vaani Kapoor in a rom-com movie. The latest reports have now revealed the title of their highly anticipated film. Reportedly, the Fawad Khan and Vanni Kapoor starrer is titled Abir Gulaal.

Variety reported that Fawad and Vaani have kickstarted the shooting of Abir Gulaal and are scheduled to shoot in various places in Europe. The star cast will be shooting in the UK in October and November. Apart from them, the movie will feature a stellar supporting cast. The makers are yet to reveal their names.

Abir Gulaal will be directed by Aarti S. Bagdi, known for Chalti Rahe Zindagi. The film is backed by Indian Stories, A Richer Lens, and Aarjay Pictures.

While speaking to the portal, Aarti hinted at the plotline of the romantic comedy film and revealed that the film explores the journey of two individuals who unintentionally help each other heal while they have love blossoming between them at unexpected consequences.

Speaking about the upcoming film and the fan following of Fawad Khan, producer of Abir Gulaal stated, "Fawad has a massive global fan base, and we anticipate that audiences and his fans will wholeheartedly embrace this film, as it showcases him in his most endearing role yet. The chemistry between Fawad and Vaani is expected to light up the screen with their captivating performances and undeniable charm."

Fawad and Vaani’s acting projects

Fawad Khan made his Bollywood debut alongside Sonam Kapoor in Khoobsurat and later starred alongside Alia Bhatt and Siddharth Malhotra in the highly successful film Kapoor & Sons. The actor was recently seen in the web series Barzakh, where he reunited with his Zindagi Gulzar Hai co-star Sanam Saeed.

Vaani, on the other hand, last featured alongside Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu, Amy Virk, Pragya Jaiswal, and Aditya Seal in the comedy-drama film Khel Khel Mein. The film proved to be a dud at the box office.
