Farhan Akhtar celebrates 50th birthday with a late night cake cutting, Shabana Azmi gives a sneak-peek

Farhan Akhtar turns 50 today (January 9) and the talented director-actor-singer celebrated the same with a late-night cake-cutting session. He was joined by all his near and dear ones including parents Javed Akhtar and Honey Irani, sister Zoya Akhtar, wife Shibani Dandekar, and Shabana Azmi. While wishing Farhan on her social media handle, Azmi shared a beautiful family picture that looks like last night’s celebration.

Talking about the same, the picture has Farhan sporting a causal all-black attire. We see him standing beside his wife Shibani who can be seen wearing a printed grey tee with blue jeans. While his dad Javed Akhtar stands with his sister Zoya, his mother Honey can be seen with Shabana Azmi. The Bhaag Milkha Bhaag actor’s sister-in-law Anusha Dandekar can also be seen in the frame. We see three cakes kept on the table in the front wherein one of them can be seen in the shape of the number 50. Take a look at the same.

Shabana captioned the same stating, “Salgirah mubarak betu #FarhanAkhtar. Jeete raho khush raho bahut saara pyar” with red heart emojis. Singer Ila Arun also shared a birthday wish for the Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara actor. Farhan shares a very close bond with the Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani actress.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Farhan will be helming his ambitious female-led project Jee Le Zaraa. The movie was announced with Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif, and Alia Bhatt as the lead cast. However, reports are doing the rounds that Priyanka and Katrina walked out of the project due to issues with their dates. While some conflicting reports suggest that the film is still on track. Apart from this, he also produced the Ananya Panday, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Adarsh Gourav starrer Kho Gaye Hum Kahan. He also has Don 3 in the pipeline as director which will get a unique twist with Ranveer Singh replacing Shah Rukh Khan.
