Celebrities from the cine world have recently been very vocal about mental health awareness, and the latest star to delve deeper into this sensitive subject is none other than Aavesham star Fahadh Faasil.
During a recent inaugural function of a healthcare facility, Fahadh Faasil made a public appearance and revealed that he was clinically diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 41. The Aavesham actor was inaugurating Peace Valley Children's Village in Kothamangalam, a facility that caters to developmentally challenged kids.
ADHD or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder is a condition that makes it hard to pay attention and often causes impulsiveness in people. ADHD is usually diagnosed in childhood, however, it can also be found in adults. Addressing the gathering, Fahadh opened up about being diagnosed with ADHD at a later stage of his life. He said, “I was clinically diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 41.”

As part of raising awareness on the subject, the actor revealed his conversation with a senior executive at the facility. “I asked if ADHD can be easily treated, and he replied that it can be effectively treated when diagnosed in childhood.” He addressed the younger audience, especially the children present, and gave his full support to the facility, saying, “If you can smile when you see me, that's the best thing I can do for you.”

Fahadh has been on a winning streak, especially after the massive success of his latest film Aavesham. The film directed by Jithu Madhavan has attained cult status among youth with the actor receiving critical acclaim for his performance as an eccentric goon Ranga.
On the work front, the actor will be seen in multiple exciting projects including Pushpa 2: The Rule alongside Allu Arjun, where Fahadh will be reprising his role as the antagonist. He also has Oxygen and Don’t Trouble The Trouble in Tollywood. In Malayalam, he will be seen in debutant Roy's Karate Chandran, Althaf Salim's Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira and a film directed by Jeethu Joseph. While in Tamil, the versatile actor will also be seen in Rajinikanth's Vettaiyan and Mareesan with Vadivelu.
