EXCLUSIVE: Nupur Sanon's first audition was due a miscommunication, actress' first film was actually shelved

Kriti Sanon 's younger sister, Nupur Sanon is now all set to make her big-screen debut. Nupur had already won our hearts with her performance in the songs- Filhaal and Filhaal 2 alongside Akshay Kumar , and with her cover for the song. Now, she will be sharing the screen with Nawazuddin Siddiqui in her debut film, Noorani Chehra. But what if we told you that this is not the first film that Nupur actually signed? 

Yes, you read that right. Nupur Sanon had actually bagged a film in her first acting audition itself. In an exclusive interview with us, the Filhaal shared, "I was called by some big production house. A director was telling me that 'we've seen your music covers and stuff, and we want to audition you'. That time Kriti was in Budapest, shooting for something. So, I went in thinking that they heard my music cover and they want to give me like some lyrics and all and it's a scratch that they will make me sing; but it turned out to be a film audition, okay! And I freaked out."

She then went to her sister, actress Kriti Sanon for advice. And guess what- she actually got the opportunity- her first film. She revealed, "But then my sister told me, "You should give it. Like even if you don't know anything, give it because it will show that you are confident and you're gonna connections on your own. And if you give a bad audition then you can slip in ki sir, main yeh music samajh ke aayi thi'. Just slip in there that you sing." I did that, I don't know how- they felt that there was some natural instinct, like they found me really natural. They thought real hai felt that they can use me in the film."

However, this film never materialised and hit the backburner! Nupur elaborated, "The film got shelved but uss film ka hum ek mahine tak workshops kar chuke the. So, main roz workshops pe jaati thi iss film ki. So when it got shared na, by the end of it, I kind of had it in my head and this thing- it's okay, it's new, I want to explore it because I like doing that, I enjoyed it."

Nupur added, "Kabhi Kabhi aisa hota hai na ke koi aur aapko sapne dikhata hai but when you live it, you feel that this was always there and yeah someone just kind of opened that window in you, but that was always there. Then I did a lot of workshops, maine kuch 5-6 mahine tak workshops kari to make sure that I'm not making a hasty decision, because my sisters in the industry because ultimately I have to work here, like for a long period. So when I was sure after those workshops, that's when I started trying, properly."
