Exclusive: Jaaved Jaaferi reveals if he gives love advice to son Meezaan; says ‘mujhse thoda formal hai woh’
In an exclusive chat with Desimartini, Jaaved Jaaferi opened up about his actor son Meezaan Jaaferi. He revealed that the actor is closer to his mother but every now and then they do discuss work and life.
After winning hearts with his endearing performance in Never Kiss Your Best Friend Lockdown Edition, Jaaved Jaaferi is all set to return to our screens as Bittu Mama with the second and much awaited season of the show. Starring Anya Singh and Nakuul Mehta in the lead as former BFFs and now exes Tanie Brar and Sumer Dhillion, the show will premiere on ZEE5 on 29th April. Well, in the lockdown special as well as the trailer of the second season, we saw that Bittu Mama shares a special bond with Tanie. He often shares his wisdom and doesn’t shy away from giving her love tips.
Well, during an exclusive interview with Desimartini, we asked Jaaved if he ever gave love advice to his actor son Meezaan Jaaferi , like his character Bittu Mama. He revealed, “We have a little, thoda sa woh, probably.. he talks more to his mother. Mujhse thoda sa formal hai woh, halka sa comparatively. But yeah life lessons ki baat karta hun main. I have given him certain, not like you say details about a particular relationship, but maine life lessons ke baare mein generally generic baatein karli hain like about love, about marriage. Toh yeh baatein main karta hun, but maybe not about a particular relationship. I think woh apni maa ke saath he’s more probably a little more comfortable. Toh he talks to her more on that.”
What about career tips? Jaaferi shared, “So Meezaan has had knowledge because he had a grandfather who had huge experience and a father who had a little less experience. But there were two perspectives, so he got two generations who could give him their inputs on how to approach work. I learnt a lot from my father and then I evolved a little beyond that and whatever I could do. So Meezan got an advantage of getting both this topic and he used to take a lot of, he used to sit and talk to my father a lot. Toh apne dada se woh kaafi baat cheet karta tha and Meezaan was very open and absorbing. Mere se bhi baatein kaafi ki, filmon ke baare mein bhi hum, kaam ke baare mein baat karte hain. So, kabhi script aati hai toh mujhe script bhej dega. ‘Baba read it, see what you feel’.”
He shared that he does give his inputs about the script and the characters but does not intrude and lets his son be. Well, isn’t that sweet?
