Nimrat Kaur and Abhishek Bachchan’s upcoming film Dasvi follows the story of an uneducated politician who decides to appear for 10th board exams after being arrested.
Six long years after leaving us in awe with her performance in Airlift, the gorgeous Nimrat Kaur is all set to make her Bollywood comeback with the upcoming film Dasvi. Co-starring Abhishek Bachchan and Yami Gautam in the lead, the social comedy follows the story of an uneducated rustic politician who decides to prepare for 10th board exams while he is locked up in jail. Abhishek will be seen as Ganga Ram Chaudhary in this film, whereas Nimrat is playing the role of his on-screen wife Bimla Devi who takes his place as the Chief Minister after he gets arrested.
Well, in an exclusive interview with Desimartini ahead of the film’s release on Netflix , Nimrat recalled how tough 10th standard boards were for her as a student. The actress revealed, “It was difficult yaar. It was like quite traumatizing from the 9th standard only, you know, like you’re sweating about 10thstandard boards. So one had to study much harder, it seemed like a very big deal. The examinations were treated very differently, different invigilators, different examination centers, all that. And to add to it my birthdays were always in the middle of exams so I hated exams!”
She remembered, “I really have spent no birthday happily, you know. I’ve started celebrating my birthday after college. So I’m very happy that I no longer have to take examinations and you know, relive those sleepless nights. But they were some of the best years of one’s life, no doubt.” Well, all of us would agree here. Examination time was stressful for many, but life as a student is something we all cherish till the end of time.
