Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani announce separation after 12 years of marriage: ‘Through this shift in our lives..’

Finding love is not easy and there are only a few lucky ones who end up with the person they fall for. Actress Esha Deol was one of them. The beauty met the love of her life when she was a teenager in school, during an inter-school competition. She wrote her phone number on a piece of tissue and passed it on to Bharat Takhtani, her future husband. Thus began a teenage romance which came to an abrupt end when Bharat wanted to hold Esha’s hand, something she wasn’t ready for. Years later her sister Ahana played cupid and Esha and Bharat rekindled their romance before setting out to find their happily ever after.

In 2012, they got married in a private ceremony and soon became proud parents to their beautiful daughters, Radhya and Miraya. Just last year in June the happily married couple celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary. Esha had shared a cute picture with the caption, “For keeps for eternity ♥️🧿 @bharattakhtani3 #weddinganniversary #11 gratitude ♥️🧿.” But sadly, not all real life love stories have a happy ending. After 12 years of marriage, Esha and Bharat have now announced that they have mutually decided to separate. However, their daughters and family will continue to be the most important for them.

Esha and Bharat released a joint statement sharing the news, where they stated: “We have mutually & amicably decided to part ways. Through this shift in our lives, the best interests and welfare of our two children is and will be of utmost importance to us. We would appreciate that our privacy is respected throughout . Thank you, Esha Deol & Bharat Takhtani.” As the famous saying goes, it's better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.
