Once nicknamed as Bollywood’s ‘serial kisser’, actor Emraan Hashmi is now all geared up for the release of his much-awaited show Showtime, which will soon be premiered on Disney Hotstar. These days, he is busy promoting the second part of the most talked about show Showtime, which will be premiering on July 12.

In a recent interview on Shubhankar Mishra’s podcast, Emraan Hashmi came across as raw, unapologetic and definitely not the once to mince his words when it comes to calling a spade a spade. In the same interview, Emraan Hashmi took a jibe at Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, with whom he had done many films in the past, including Raaz, Gangster, Ungli and Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai.

It was during this podcast, while Emraan Hashmi agreed with Kangana Ranaut’s statement of the awards having lost credibility, he was asked why she would say something like this. To which, Emraan Hashmi replied stating, “Maybe because she isn’t winning any longer! Kyunki milna band hogaye uske baad? I remember winning once, but I soon understood the ‘game’ behind this. It’s essentially a barter deal; you make an appearance and dance…”

In the same breath, he said that, he wouldn’t want to diss awards, but if someone wanted to decorate their living room by dancing, all power to them, but, at the same time, he couldn’t pat himself on the back and say that he had delivered a good performance because that would be a lie! He added that there was no point in winning if it was going to be a barter deal!

And while throwing light on his relationship with Kangana Ranaut, he said that it was fantastic, cordial and wonderful. He added that he was very fond of her and vice versa. He added that they had not met after they had worked together in a Dharma film, which was released in 2015.
