The horrific Kolkata rape and murder case has sent shockwaves across the country. The incident led to public outrage and even celebrities such as Karan Johar, Alia Bhatt, and Ayushmann Khurrana also expressed their anger and disappointment through social media posts. Speaking about the incident, actress Kangana Ranaut has now said that the world would be a better place if the questions were raised at men, rather than at girls in the family, so that the girls can walk freely in the world, without any risks of danger.

    Kangana Ranaut on women’s safety

Kangana Ranaut, who is busy promoting her upcoming film, Emergency, was asked about the safety of women in our country. The actress replied that when girls want to go out of the house, then ten questions are asked. Questions like, ‘Where are you going? When will you be back? With whom are you going? Who else will be there?’

Kangana added that if these types of questions were asked to the men in the family and they were asked to sit inside the house after a certain time in the day, then all the girls could walk freely in the world, without any risks of danger.

She also said that a family should know who their child is speaking to, what kind of content they are watching and what kind of things are they indulging in. She stated that if a man in the family smokes or drinks alcohol, all of it is hidden away but when a girl child is wearing a deep-neck top or shorts, the whole neighbourhood gets to know about it. The actress said that this balance among family members is very important.
