As Prabhas' first-look poster surfaced on the internet, a section of netizens left unimpressed and hoped the upcoming movie doesn’t disappoint just like Adipurush.
After the Adipurush debacle, South superstar Prabhas has pinned hopes on his upcoming sci-fi film, Project K, to redeem himself at the box office. The actor on Wednesday treated fans with his much-awaited first look from the much-anticipated movie which also stars Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan.
Taking to his Instagram handle, the Baahubali actor wrote, “Here’s the first look of #ProjectK. Hope you all like it.” He also informed fans that the much-awaited teaser will be unveiled shortly. “Watch the first glimpse on July 20 (PST) and July 21 (IST),” he added. As his first-look poster surfaced on the internet, a section of netizens left unimpressed and hoped the upcoming movie doesn’t disappoint just like Adipurush. While some called it a ‘fanmade edit’, others claimed that it is copied and pasted from Hollywood actioner Iron Man 3. “Hope, the movie doesn't Dissapoints like this Poster...It is like just FANMADE Edit,” wrote one of the users. “Another cartoon by Prabhas.” stated the second user. “How to spoil a big budget movie total hype with a single poster or teaser Just Prabhas thinks,” commented a third user.
“Kab tak copy karonge ab to kuch sharm karo. Ye Poss bhi Iron-man 3 ki copy h,” read a comment. “This is giving me vibes of “Adipurush “ higher budget and no quality or content there is still time please fix,“ read another comment. “1st look not impressed. #prabhas face looks like Morphed. High budget ani chapinaru ? I can't see that here. Should have directly gone for teaser only. Hmmmm, I don't want any more flop vibes for #prabhas,” wrote a concerned fan.
For the unversed, Prabhas’ recently released epic drama Adipurush failed to impress audience. Made on a whopping Rs 500 crore budget, the movie could not manage to cover its cost at the box office. Meanwhile, Project K is directed by Nag Ashwin and has been billed as one of the most expensive Pan-India movies. Bankrolled by C. Aswani Dutt under Vyjayanthi Movies, the film is set to hit big screens on January 12, 2024.
