Johnson, a powerhouse in the franchise who brought to life the character of Luke Hobbs in five Fast and Furious films, has been on a break from the action-drama series. The hiatus followed a public feud with lead actor, Vin Diesel. His presence was notably missing in 'F9' and 'Fast X,' although he did make a surprise cameo in the post-credits scene of the latter.

On Twitter, Johnson declared, "Hope you’ve got your funderwear on… HOBBS IS BACK." The actor dropped a teasing hint of a new Hobbs movie currently in the works, and the message was loud and clear: he and Diesel have decided to put past grudges aside.

Revealing more about the truce, Johnson tweeted, "Last summer Vin and I put all the past behind us. We’ll lead with brotherhood and resolve – and always take care of the franchise, characters & FANS that we love."

The feud that began in 2016, when Johnson made some pointed remarks on Instagram aimed at Diesel, made headlines. However, Johnson added that after a meeting of "clarity," they decided to leave their differences aside.
