Dunki Drop 5: Shah Rukh Khan-Taapsee Pannu's romantic song O Maahi is all dreams but pure love

The much-awaited romantic song O Maahi featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Taapsee Pannu from Dunki is finally out. Clad in black, the superstar takes fans back to his vintage self with his infectious charm and persona in this dreamy sequence. Taapsee, on the other hand, complements him with her simple yet appealing looks.

Sharing the song on his Instagram handle, Shah Rukh penned a note addressing his ‘lover friends’ that read, “Love, ishq, mohabbat, pyaar...yeh sabka izhaar karne mein hum waqt laga dete hain. Sometimes we don’t get the chance. Sometimes we don’t find the words. This song is dedicated to all the lovers who feel like this…So say it. Now…Today…Tomorrow, and Everyday…” Mere Ishq pe Haq hua tera…Lo mein qayamat tak hua tera…” with this song. Make this your love song…my lover friends.” In the song, Hardy aka Shah Rukh can be seen smitten by Manu played by Taapsee. Hardy dreams of Manu as his lover while they travel together in the middle of the desert.

Composed by Pritam and crooned by Arijit Singh, O Maahi’s beautiful lyrics has been penned by Irshad Kamil. The song is choreographed by Vaibhavi Merchant while shot by V Manikandan ISC. Reacting to the song, a user wrote, “Arijit and SRK is a combination you can't resist to miss What a captivating song.” The second user commented, “Beautiful & soulful. Earlier in the day, Shah Rukh revealed the meaning of Dunki which was something that all the fans wanted to know. He captioned the promo of Dunki Drop 5, “Because everybody asks, what does Dunki mean? Dunki means being apart from your loved ones. And when you are with them, one feels the moment should last till the end of time. Meanwhile, Dunki is an upcoming comedy drama directed by Rajkumar Hirani. The film is a saga of friendships, borders, nostalgia for home and love which also stars Boman Irani and Vicky Kaushal. Backed by Red Chillies Entertainment, it is set to arrive in theatres on December 21, 2023.
