Double iSmart: Teaser of Ram Pothineni’s film to be out on this day! Here’s the latest update

It's official! The teaser for Ram Pothineni and Puri Jagannadh’s ambitious project, Double iSmart, will be released on May 15, on actor Ram’s birthday. The announcement was made by the makers who shared a new poster along with the update. The new poster features leading man Ram Pothineni in an animal print shirt with a cowboy hat and domino mask. The captivating poster has caught the attention of the audience who have been waiting for the teaser update for a long time.  

Double iSmart is the sequel of Ram and Puri Jagannadh's last blockbuster hit, Ismart Shankar and hence, the excitement surrounding Double iSmart is massive. Touted to be an action entertainer, the film will be released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. 

The makers of the film have resumed filming in Mumbai. The update was shared on the social media handles with a few BTS shots from the location of the shoot. Earlier, it was reported that the team is expected to shoot the climax and two songs from the film.

Ram Pothineni's stylish transformation for Double iSmart

Ram has undergone a massive physical transformation for Double iSmart, according to sources. As seen on the posters, the actor has turned to a muscular avatar and will be sporting a stylish look in the film. Likewise, Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt, who is also part of the film, will be seen in a completely different look. After delivering a few blockbuster south films like KGF 2 and Leo, Sanjay has reportedly charged around Rs 9 crore to star in the film. Kavya Thapar is the female lead opposite Ram in the film.

Double iSmart: Ram Pothineni and Puri Jagannadh's only thread to make a comeback

With Double iSmart set to release this year, there is widespread anticipation whether Ram can stage a comeback, considering his last film, Skanda was a box office disaster. Puri Jagannadh, on the other hand, had suffered a flop with Liger and is still recovering from the Vijay Deverakonda-starrer. He is also holding on to the upcoming film Double iSmart to get back on track. Will Double iSmart serve as a comeback for the actor-director duo?
