Dobaaraa early reviews: Taapsee Pannu starrer hailed as 'edge-of-the-seat' thriller with intriguing storyline

Anurag Kashyap ’s Dobaaraa starring Taapsee Pannu is all set to release on August 19 in theatres. Ahead of the release, the makers have organised a special screening of the film which was attended by the filmmaker’s friends and peers from the industry. And now, the early reviews have emerged online and it has all good things to say about the movie.

The Sacred Games fame Kubbra Sait was the first to shower praise on the film and its team. “#Dobaaraa is a mad mad maddddd film. It’s crazy & it drew me into 1996, in the moment… jolted me into 2021… and blew me away with a gripping storyline and the performances. A film that kept me on the edge of my seat till the last moment.” she tweeted.

Writer-director Navjot Gulati wrote, “Dobaara is @anuragkashyap72 back in-form and how. A film that will surprise you and make you root for it by the end of it. Please watch on the big screen. Speaking about Dobaaraa, the new-age thriller talks about the world of time travel. It is the Hindi adaptation of the Spanish thriller Mirage. The story revolves around a woman, who tries to save the life of a boy, who is indirectly involved in a murder that happened two decades ago. Directed by Anurag, the film also stars Pavail Gulati in the pivotal role. The film is bankrolled by Shobha Kapoor and Ekta R Kapoor’s Cult Movies, a new wing under Balaji Telefilms and Sunir Kheterpal & Gaurav Bose (Athena).

While some lauded Taapsee and Pavail’s performance, some were spellbound by the intriguing storyline of the movie. “Just watched @taapsee's #Dobaaraa What performance! @anuragkashyap72 has again made a thriller that'll keep u on the edge of your seats.
