Do Patti: Shaheer Sheikh recalls how he came on board for the Kriti Sanon starrer; 'I was a little scared'

    Writer Kanika Dhillon revealed that actress Kriti Sanon herself auditioned with ten candidates, trying to find the actor who could play the role of Dhruv in the film.

    Kriti Sanon, Kajol, and Shaheer Sheikh are all set for the release of their upcoming film Do Patti on Netflix. The cast of Do Patti shared interesting anecdotes about the film during the trailer launch event today (October 14) in Mumbai. Speaking about one such instance, writer and producer Kanika Dhillon said that the makers got tired of looking for the actor who could play Dhruv in the film. The writer added that Kriti was part of the last ten auditions they conducted for the role of Dhruv.

    The makers of Do Patti shared a clip from the trailer launch event of the film. The clip begins with Kanika revealing that the makers were exhausted trying to find Dhruv for the film. She added that 100 auditions later, Kriti decided to be part of the last ten auditions.

    Kanika further said that for the last ten remaining auditions, Kriti herself went and auditioned with each of those ten candidates and did the scene over and over again. She added that half of the people got scared that Kriti herself was coming for auditions.

    Actor Shaheer Sheikh added to the conversation and said, “Even actually I was a little scared. Jab maine dekha maine bola Kriti ji ke sath audition karna hai bata toh dete. (When I saw her I said that I should have been warned that I had to audition with Kriti herself).”

    Kriti reacted to Shaheer’s remarks by saying, “Kriti ji! Life mein kabhi bola hai tumne kabhi (Have you ever called me Kriti ji).”

    The makers of Do Patti recently unveiled the film’s trailer showcasing the crime mystery that is soon going to unfold on your screens. While Kriti is playing the role of twin sisters in the film, Kajol will be essaying the role of a police officer for the first time. Do Patti also marks the film debut of actor Shaheer Sheikh.
