    Alia Bhatt witnessed the second lowest opener of her career with her recently released film Jigra, actress Divya Khosla Kumar has now accused the actress of buying her own tickets of the film and announcing fake collections to the audience.

    Actress Divya Khosla Kumar took to her Instagram stories and called out actress Alia Bhatt for buying tickets of her own film. Divya shared a picture of an empty theatre where Jigra is playing on the screen. Along with the picture, Divya wrote, “Went to Citi Mall PVR for Jigra show theatre was totally empty..all theatres going empty everywhere. #AliaBhatt mein sach mein bahut #Jigra hai khud ki tickets kharide aur fake collections announce kar diye. Wonder why paid media is silent (Alia Bhatt has a lot of courage for buying her own tickets and announcing fake box office collections).” 

    The latest reports revealed that Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina starrer collected a total of Rs 4.25 crore at the box office on the first day of its release. Jigra turned out to be the second lowest openers of Alia’s career since Highway, released in 2014. 

    Jigra witnessed an overall occupancy of 20.13 percent in Hindi and collected Rs 4.2 crore while the film had an occupancy of 20.17 percent and earned Rs 50,000 in the Telugu language. 

    The film was also the subject of mixed reviews on social media. While some called the film “Brilliant action thriller that is emotionally gripping,” others said that Jigra is dragged, and the entire story revolves around jailbreaking and not the main conflict.

    Helmed by Vasan Bala, Jigra starring Alia Bhatt, Vedang Raina and Manoj pahwa hit the theatres on October 11. Backed by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Alia Bhatt, Shaheen Bhatt and Somen Mishra under Dharma Productions and Eternal Sunshine Productions, the film faced a box office clash with Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri starrer Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video.-
