Did someone tamper Ranveer Singh's nude photoshoot? actor makes serious allegations

Ranveer Singh ’s controversial nude photoshoot sparking national controversy witnessed a big development. The actor in his statement has claimed that someone has tampered with one of the photos. He said the photo is morphed and is not being shown the way it was shot.

As per the ANI report, Mumbai police recorded Ranveer’s statement on August 29 and are now verifying it as part of their investigation. The actor was grilled by police for over two hours and also offered his cooperation to help the police in their probe. He was booked for obscenity under Sections 292, 294 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and 509 and 67(A) of the Information Technology (IT) Act.

Ever since Ranveer posed nude for Paper magazine in July, he has been embroiled in controversy. His pictures had gone viral following which an NGO registered an FIR against him at Chembur police station. The complainant stated that the actor has hurt the sentiments of women and insulted their modesty through his photographs.

However, Ranveer’s industry friends and colleagues including Alia Bhatt, Vidya Balan among others have applauded him for his bold move. This is not the first time any actor has bared it all for the photoshoot. Earlier, model-turned-actor Milind Soman did a similar photoshoot and it sparked controversy. Well, it is yet to be seen what police officials and the judiciary’s next step would be.

Meanwhile, workwise, Ranveer was last seen in Jayeshbhai Jordaar alongside Shalini Pandey, Boman Irani, and Ratna Pathak Shah. He also appeared in Netflix’s show Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives as a special appearance. He will next feature in Karan Johar’s directorial Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani opposite Alia Bhatt. The film also has veteran actors including Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, and Jaya Bachchan. Besides it, he has Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus alongside Pooja Hegde, Varun Sharma, and Jacqueline Fernandez.
