On October 12, actress Divya Khossla accused Alia Bhatt of buying tickets for her own film Jigra and announcing fake box office collections. It seems like it hasn't gone down well with Karan Johar. Soon after she shared the post, Karan, who has co-produced Jigra with Alia Bhatt, took to Instagram and hit back at Divya by sharing a cryptic post.

A cryptic feud between Divya Khossla and Karan Johar

On Saturday (October 12), Bhushan Kumar's wife Divya Khossla shared a picture of an empty theatre where Jigra was being screened. Along with it, she wrote, “Went to Citi Mall PVR for Jigra show. Theatre was totally empty … all theaters going empty every where. #Aliabhatt me sach mein Bahut #Jigra hai.. khud hi tickets karide aur fake collections announce kar diye. Wonder why paid media is silent. #weshdnotfooltheaudience #truthoverlies #HappyDussehra."

Later, KJo shared a quote on his Instagram story and indirectly called Divya a 'fool'. His post read, “Silence is the best speech you will ever give to fools.” Karan did not name anyone in the post but it is assumed that he was taking a jibe at Divya’s comment.

Divya responded to the cryptic post by sharing a quote on her Instagram story this time. Her post read, “Truth will always offend fools opposed to it.” The actress shared another post that read, “When you are so accustomed to stealing what rightfully belongs to others, you will always seek shelter in silence. You will have no voice, no spine.”

For those unaware, Divya was reacting to the low audience occupancy for Jigra, even though it was reported that the film collected Rs 4.25 crore on its opening day. Divya said that the actress of Alia announced fake box office collections.

    Jigra's cast and crew

Jigra turned out to be the second-lowest opener of Alia since Highway, released in 2014. Directed by Vasan Bala, the film stars Alia, Vedang Raina, and Manoj Pahwa. The film is backed by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Alia Bhatt, Shaheen Bhatt, and Somen Mishra under Dharma Productions and Eternal Sunshine Productions. It hit theatres on October 11.
