With cross-industry collaborations becoming more of a norm than a rare occurrence, A-listers are now coming together to promote and discuss each other’s movies. Telugu superstar Jr NTR and Bollywood star Alia Bhatt recently sat down for an interview conducted by celebrity host Karan Johar.

While NTR promoted Devara: Part 1, Alia Bhatt opened up about her upcoming movie, Jigra. In the conversation, besides discussing their respective films, the duo also expressed mutual admiration for each other.

Ahead of the full interview's release on Tuesday, the producers shared a teaser, offering a glimpse of the trio’s interaction.

In the teaser, Jr NTR called Alia Bhatt "one of the finest actors." Alia, in turn, praised him, saying, "What I love about him as an actor is he's unpredictable."

The two stars previously shared the screen in director SS Rajamouli’s global hit RRR. Although Alia had a small supporting role, she shared scenes with NTR, who portrayed the iconic Telugu freedom fighter Komaram Bheem.

RRR captivated audiences worldwide and made history as the first Indian production to win an Oscar in the Best Original Song category.

Alia also reflected on her first meeting with NTR on the sets of RRR. "The way Tarak is and his stardom, I was naturally expecting to be severely intimidated," she recalled.

During the interview, NTR suggested Alia dub Jigra in Telugu, a proposition that made her visibly nervous. The teaser ends with Karan Johar leaving both Alia and NTR puzzled when he hints at "one other commonality that NTR shares with Alia."

Devara, written and directed by Koratala Siva, is one of the most-anticipated films of the year and marks NTR’s solo release after a six-year gap. The film is set to hit theatres on September 27, while Jigra will release on October 11.
