This year saw the ever-so-suave Shahid Kapoor enthralling the audiences with the human-falling-in-love-with-a-robot kind of film that was titled Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya and which had the spunky Kriti Sanon as the co-star. After having shown his romantic side, the man is now all set to blow the minds of the audience with yet another power packed [performance in Deva, a film which has been making news ever since the time it was announced.
Today, the film’s leading man Shahid Kapoor and Pooja Hegde (who happens to be the film’s leading lady) celebrated the film’s wrap up with a traditional cake cutting party! The ‘oh-so-awesome’ pics were shared on social media from the handles of Roy Kapur Films as well as Zee Studios.
The said post was captioned as, ‘And it’s a wrap! Get ready to witness Deva’s electrifying action soon. #SongWrap #Deva in cinemas on 14th February 2025’. The USP of the photos was however, the cake and what was written on the cake. The said cakes (there were two of them) had the terms ‘Bhasad’ and ‘Macha’ written on them, which has now caught the fancy of many of the internet users.
Needless to say that the atmosphere was definitely all charged up with positivity spreaded around like wildfire, which was pretty much evident from the smiling faces in the photographs. Besides the awesome twosome Shahid Kapoor and Pooja Hegde, one could also spot the well-known choreographer Bosco Martis in the pics.
In a few minutes of the photos being uploaded, there was unrest amongst the netizens who were super excited to see the leading duo of the film, and, also at the same time, were totally impatient to see the film. While one netizen wrote, ‘OMG! This is the kind of stuff I could only dream about in films. I really hope and pray that the film’s makers do not cause any delay in releasing the film’, another user wrote, ‘Shahid Kapoor and Pooja Hegde make for a dream pair and that’s why the film will also have its box office collections like a dream!’
As for Pooja Hegde, she took to social media and shared the pic of a gratitude filled note received by her from the film’s team, which read as, ‘Hi Pooja, A heartfelt thank you for your incredible work and presence on our film! Your talent and dedication brought so much life to the set and it truly shows in the film!. Shine on! Lots of love’. On her part, she replied to that by writing, ‘The Sweetest. Thank youuu @roykapurfilms #DEVA #itsawrap’.
As for the roles, while Shahid Kapoor will be seen in the role of a police officer, Pooja Hegde will be seen in the role of a journalist. While the film Deva is being directed by Rosshan Andrrews, it is jointly produced by Zee Studios and Roy Kapur Films. Shahid Kapoor is playing the role of a cop in the action-packed movie. In July, shared a picture of his look and announced the release date of the film. The film is being readied to be released in theatres on 14 Feb 2025.
