Demonte Colony 2 first review: 'Entire Indian cinema will talk about it...'
As the release of Demonte Colony 2 approaches, overseas distributors are already singing the film's praises.

The much-anticipated horror movie Demonte Colony 2 has already garnered significant praise from its overseas distributors just days before its worldwide release. Varun, the co-founder of Tentkotta, which is distributing the film in Malaysia, shared an enthusiastic review that has heightened expectations for the sequel.
"#DemonteColony2 wow wow what a screenplay @AjayGnanamuthu bro take a bow. The entire Indian industry will talk about your screenplay on August 15th," Varun tweeted, lauding director Ajay Gnanamuthu’s work. He went on to express his excitement over acquiring the overseas rights for the film, especially after their recent success with Maharaja.
In his glowing review, Varun highlighted the immersive experience of watching the film, mentioning how the gripping storyline kept him on the edge of his seat for the entire 2 hours and 30 minutes. "I have never seen a horror film in my entire life on edge of the seat and never touched my mobile phone for 2hrs 30 minutes," he noted, emphasizing the film's ability to fully captivate its audience.
Varun also commended the performances of the cast, particularly Arulnithi, who plays a key role in the film. He praised Arulnithi for his excellent script selection. Varun further expressed confidence that the film would dispel any negativity or trolling faced by actress Priya Bhavani Shankar in the aftermath of the Indan 2 fiasco.
Director Ajay Gnanamuthu, who made his directorial debut with Demonte Colony in 2015, quickly became a rising star in Tamil cinema following the film’s success. The original Demonte Colony was a major hit in Tamil Nadu, cementing Ajay's reputation as a filmmaker to watch. However, his recent projects have not met the same level of success, leading many to view Demonte Colony 2 as a crucial opportunity for him to reclaim his status in the industry.
With Demonte Colony 2, it appears that Ajay is returning to his roots, seeking to recapture the magic that made his debut a standout.
Demonte Colony 2 is set to release worldwide on August 15, alongside Chiyaan Vikram's Thangalaan and Keerthy Suresh's Raghu Thatha.
