After a successful run of two seasons, the Emmy Award-winning series, Delhi Crime will soon return with its third season. The series features Shefali Shah, Rasika Dugal, and Rajesh Tailang in key roles. Recently, it was reported that actress Huma Qureshi has also joined the team for the third season. According to new developments, the team has already started shooting for Delhi Crime Season 3 in Delhi. The shooting started in Noida and Huma Qureshi, Shefali Shah, Rasika Dugal, and Rajesh Tailang are currently shooting in Delhi-NCR.

Cast of Delhi Crime 3 begins shooting in Delhi

A while ago, Hindustan Times reported that the star cast of Delhi Crime 3 has started shooting in Delhi. A source informed the portal about the fresh updates. The source said, "The makers wanted to start with the shoot in the Capital. The initial plan was to start early September, but they were waiting for Huma’s dates. The shooting for Delhi Crime 3 started 10 days ago in Greater Noida. Huma, Shefali, Rasika and Rajesh Tailang are currently shooting."

Giving more inside information about the shoot, the source revealed that several scenes will be shot in Noida and later different locations will be covered in Delhi. “Thaane (police station) ke, haveli ke aur roads ke kaafi shots Greater Noida mein shoot honge. Pehle ke seasons mein bhi Gautam Buddha Nagar ke police station ke shots thay. Then, the team will come to Delhi and cover different locations. They will be shooting here for over two months,” the report stated.

Details about the third season of Delhi Crime

The report further suggested that the makers of Delhi Crime will join the bandwagon of releasing the season in splits. They will reportedly be releasing the third season in two parts with a gap of a short period. The source added that apart from Huma, many new members will be joining the star cast and the first part of the third season is likely to be out in mid-2025. The third season is expected to be based on human trafficking, though there has been no official confirmation from the makers.

The first season of Delhi Crime starring Shefali Shah and Rasika Dugal won the Best Drama Series award at the 48th International Emmy Awards. The second season was joined by actress Tillotama Shome and was received well by the audience and critics alike.
