Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh often take pride in each other’s work and are the biggest cheerleaders for each other. As Deepika prepares to present her intense romantic drama Gehriyaan to the world, the actress got talking in an interview about her husband Ranveer Singh’s performances and which one of his films is his favorite.

While in Ranveer’s over decade long career he has hardly delivered any disappointing performances, Deepika picked Band Baaja Baraat as her favorite. Ranveer has been high appreciated for his performance in films like ’ 83 , Gully Boy , Padmaavat and several other films since his debut in 2010 Deepika explains in an interview with Indian Express why she loves Band Baaja Baraat.

“I have seen Lootera, Gully Boy, and all of his other films. We have worked together in three films, but there was a certain rawness and innocence in that performance that trumps all of the other films he has done. Gully Boy is an all-time favourite performance of his, but right now if I have to say, it would be Band Baaja Baraat,” Deepika said.

The duo had met for the first time when the bumped into each other at a restaurant where she ended up asking Ranveer when he moved to Mumbai. To her surprise and she learnt that the actor was born and raised in Mumbai and it was his performance in Band Baaja Baraat that led her to mistake him as someone from Delhi. She also called the film one of her most favorite films of his.

Deepika and Ranveer have worked together in four films so far which include three with Sanjay Leela Bhansali , namely Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ramleela, Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat and the fourth being Kabir Khan ’s recently released ’83 where she played Romi Dev while Ranveer helmed the movie playing Kapil Dev.
