Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh welcome their first child, a baby girl

Bollywood star Deepika Padukone has welcomed her first baby with actor-husband Ranveer Singh.  The actress gave birth to a baby girl at a hospital in Mumbai. According to reports, Deepika and Ranveer have welcomed a baby girl after Deepika was hospitalised on September 7, days ahead of her delivery.

Actress Deepika Padukone has given birth to a baby girl in a hospital in Mumbai. Deepika and Ranveer tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in 2018. After six years of marriage, the couple announced in February that they are expecting their first child in September this year.

Ahead of the delivery, Deepika and Ranveer had visited the Siddhivinayak temple in Mumbai to seek blessings. In the pictures and videos captured by the paparazzi, the couple were seen wearing stunning ethnic outfits. Deepika was spotted wearing a traditional green saree with a matching blouse with her baby bump clearly visible. Ranveer complemented her look by wearing a cream-colored kurta-pajama, styled with a bun and black sunglasses. The couple visited the temple with their families and greeted the crowd with folded hands before entering the temple.

On the professional front, Deepika was last seen in Nag Ashwin’s magnum opus film Kalki 2898 AD, alongside Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani. The film is centered around the dystopian city of Kashi. In the film, Deepika plays the role of Sumati, who is carrying Kalki.

Ranveer, on the other hand, was last seen alongside Alia Bhatt in Karan Johar’s blockbuster film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. The actor plays the role of Rocky, a rich West Delhi Punjabi boy who falls in love with a Bengali girl named Rani. How the two will overcome their cultural differences to fulfil their love story is the film’s plotline.

The couple will be seen next in Rohit Shetty's Singham Again starring Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, and Tiger Shroff among others.
