Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh all set to embrace parenthood? Here's all we know

DeepVeer fans, where are you at? Good news might be awaiting you. If reports are to be believed, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh might be expecting their first child. Yes, you heard it right! The rumours surrounding the same started doing the rounds after the actress’ debut appearance at the BAFTA.

Several eagle-eyed fans observed that she was covering her waist intricately as she donned a resplendent pastel shimmery Sabyasachi saree at the occasion. Not only this but some fans also noticed that she seemed to be holding her stomach while posing which fans are decoding to be a baby bump. According to a news report in The Week, a source close to the Om Shanti Om actress said to the publication that Deepika is in the second trimester of her pregnancy.

Well, if this news is indeed true, congratulations might have already started pouring for Deepika and Ranveer. Last month in an interview with Vogue Singapore, the Pathaan actress was asked about embracing motherhood. On this, she said, “Absolutely. Ranveer and I love children. We look forward to the day when we will start our own family.”

Apart from this, Deepika also spoke about passing the same values to her children that she got from her parents Prakash and Ujjala Padukone. The Chennai Express actress said, “When I meet the people I have grown up with — my aunts, uncles, family friends — they always mention how I haven’t changed one bit. That says a lot about our upbringing... In this industry, it’s easy to get carried away by fame and money. But no one treats me like a celebrity at home. I am a daughter and a sister first. I don’t want that to change. My family keeps me grounded and Ranveer and I hope to inculcate the same values in our children.”

Deepika and Ranveer tied the knot in November 2018 after five years of dating. They met on the set of their film, Goliyon Ki Raas Leela: Ram Leela. Ranveer pulled out a dreamy proposal for Deepika in the Maldives.
