    Rajkummar Rao on suffering from asthma

    Speaking about his childhood and family in an interview with Unfiltered by Samdish, the actor revealed that he suffered from severe asthma in childhood. He added that when he was four days old, he suffered pneumonia and was almost gone with no hopes of recovery. He stated that even though he survived it, the aftereffects caused him asthma and breathing problems. The actor added that he used to get regular injections till the age of 15 for asthma attacks.

    Shedding light on his spiritual and religious side, Rajkummar Rao revealed that he is a devotee of Lord Krishna and has been keeping a fast on Friday for Santoshi Mata for many years now.

He said that a man came running to him and told him that Patralekhaa (Rajkummar’s wife) wanted to speak to him. When Patralekhaa broke the news of his mother’s passing away, the actor went back home for a day but came the very next day to support the crew. Speaking about this, the actor said that he thought he could calm himself and continue working but it was difficult for him to move forward.

    Speaking about graduating from the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Rajkummar said that in the hostel, he shared a room with Jaideep Ahlawat. The actor added that even though he was very homesick, he was very focused on acing his craft of acting.

    Talking about working on Kai Po Che, Rajkummar revealed that he did not know about the effects of gluten then.
