Daler Mehndi and Navjot Singh Sidhu turn neighbours, duo sharing the same barrack in Patiala Central Jail

Veteran singer Daler Mehndi and cricketer turned politician Navjot Singh Sidhu have turned neighbors. Now it’s not what you are thinking! The duo is currently sharing the same barrack in Patiala Central Jail. While Mehndi was arrested in connection to a human trafficking case, Sidhu was nabbed by police officials in relation to a 34-year-old road rage case.

Daler Mehndi and Navjot Singh Sidhu are also accompanied by Shiromani Akali Dal leader, Bikram Singh Majithia who is also serving his jail sentence. According to a news report on India TV, the Patiala District Court upheld Mehndi’s 2003 human trafficking case for which he was sentenced in the year 2018. The ‘Tunak Tunak Tun’ singer is lodged at Barrack No 10 where Sidhu is also serving his jail time.

While Bikram Singh Majithia is held just in the neighboring barrack and is serving his jail sentence with regards to a drug case that was filed against him in December last year. The publication further quoted jail authorities to say that Navjot Singh Sidhu is receiving a special diet as recommended by the medical board owing to his vulnerable health conditions. The TV personality’s diet consists of a low-fat and high-fiber diet with ample fruits and vegetables devoid of any Ghee, butter, or oil.

For the unversed, Navjot Singh Sidhu has been sentenced to a one-year prison by the Supreme Court in connection to his 1988 road rage case that had killed a 65-year-old man. The report furthermore stated that all the high-profile personalities are lodged in ordinary barracks only sans any VIP treatment. The report furthermore stated that Sidhu is currently at loggerheads with Bikram Singh Majithia who is his arch-political rival.

Meanwhile, Navjot Singh Sidhu was initially in the news for his stint on the comedy show, Comedy Nights With Kapil wherein he was replaced by Archana Puran Singh . Daler Mehndi on the other hand had launched his song, ‘Raat Paheli Hai.’ He had also become the owner of a virtual land called Balle Balle Land .
