Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu will soon be seen in the thrilling web series, Citadel: Honey Bunny, set to release on November 7 on Amazon Prime Video. The actors will play spy agents who are on a secret mission in the action-adventure web series. The makers of Citadel: Honey Bunny released the series’ latest promo, showcasing a link between the upcoming web series and another popular crime drama series titled The Family Man, starring Manoj Bajpayee.

The Family Man and Citadel: Honey Bunny connection

The makers of Citadel: Honey Bunny released the latest promo of the upcoming series on social media, drawing a link between the series’ central characters Honey and Bunny, and Srikant Tiwari (Manoj Bajpayee) and JK (Sharib Hashmi) from the crime drama series The Family Man.

The promo video begins with Srikant and JK meeting at an isolated location. Later, Srikant gives JK a file that has profiles of dangerous spies Honey (Samantha Ruth Prabhu) and Bunny (Varun Dhawan), to which JK replies that the team looks like they are from the 90s and makes fun of their code names - Honey and Bunny.

Later, Srikant points out a record in the file to which JK expresses his astonishment and says that they are dangerous spies. When JK asks if they are more dangerous than themselves, Srikant says that he is from the national force and has connections all over the place.

The promo ends with the pager ringing with a message that says ‘Honey Bunny are here.’ The makers captioned the post, “OGs, don’t blink, the spies are on cue. #CitadelHoneyBunnyOnPrime, New Series, Nov 7.”

Starring Varun Dhawan, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Kay Kay Menon, Saqib Saleem, Sikandar Kher, Soham Majumdar, Shivankit Parihar and Kashvi Majmundar, Citadel: Honey Bunny is created by Raj & DK (Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK). Set in Mumbai in the 90s, the web series will make its world premiere on November 7.

The series will have a direct connection with Priyanka Chopra-starrer web series Citadel. Citadel: Honey Bunny is the story of Nadia's (Priyanka) parents - Honey and Bunny, who were spy agents for Citadel in Mumbai, India.
